Chez-GeorgesWe invite you to visit Chez-Georges in the quaint village of Courtauly, centered in a triangle cornered by Limoux, Mirepoix and Chalabre, each a dozen kilometers away, while just 40 minutes from the magic of the 12th century "La Cite" in Carcassonne, and 70 minutes from the exciting "Paris of the South" - Toulouse, and all the excitement in between.
Chez-Georges is a very well-appointed 19th century 2-bedroom 2-story stone house prepared with the finest local antiques and attention to architectural detail and comfort.
The house is an oasis of tranquility close to the 6 magnificent Cathare castles that highlight our area - it is close to some of the finest wineries in Southern France, in an area offering antiquities, meandering walks, hiking and cycling for all - from a well-situated home base.
We are close enough to all the things you'll want to see, but yet far enough removed, so you can enjoy the relaxing country life that France presents.
The house is a converted stone barn with 160 square meters on two floors – downstairs with the kitchen, eating, and sitting areas that lead out to a garden and patio. The twin-bedded bedroom and bathroom with walk-in shower complete the ground floor. The large private and fenced garden off the main floor invites outdoor dining, balmy summertime BBQ's, and great games of croquet!
Upstairs is the great room, featuring white marble floors in a floor-to-ceiling glass-walled living room that overlooks the garden, with the raised master bedroom overlooking all, all complimented with a luxurious en-suite bath, that features a large soaker tub and shower.
We are most proud to offer Chez-Georges to you, and to have been designated as a "recommended place to stay", by both “TopRural” and "TripAdvisor" websites after receiving top 5-star ratings from virtually all our guests.
We are pleased to offer the complimentary use of a GPS during your stay, (so you can find you way home after your day of exploring) and will have a welcome package for you on arrival, to save running to the supermarket after your busy travel day.
We do hope you’ll like Chez-Georges, and invite you to explore our website.
Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.
